Mrs. Altynay Mazhikeyeva
Mrs. Altynay Mazhikeyeva studied at the A. Seleznev Ballet Academy in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and graduated with honors in 1988. She danced as a soloist at the State Academy Opera and Ballet Theater in Almaty from 1988-1990. Since 1990, she has been a soloist at the Moscow Ballet Festival under the leadership of S. Radchenko. Altynay worked and toured with the ballet stars of the Bolshoi Theater such as L. Semenyaka, M. Bylova, S. Radchenko, and much more. Altynay Mazhikeyeva’s classical ballet repertoire includes Swan Lake, Carmen, Chopiniana, La Bayadere, Giselle, Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Laurencia.
Altynay Mazhikeyeva was born and raised by famous ballet parents. Kairat Mazhikeyev is a teacher, choreographer, and director of a theater. On the other hand, Lora Mazhikeyeva is a famous ballerina, teacher/founder of her methodology of healthy choreography, and considered an honored artist of Kazakhstan. In 2003, Altynay Mazhikeyeva founded her ballet studio, Philadelphia Dance Conservatory in Philadelphia, PA. With twenty-three years of experience, Altynay Mazhikeyeva continues to teach the language of ballet, body culture, and knowledge of folklore and dance culture from different countries. And from all of this, she gets great pleasure from the result of her students!
Kairat Mazhikeyev
Kairat Mazhikeyev is a famous ballet dancer, teacher, choreographer, and director. From 1964-1984, he was the premiere of the Abai Opera and Ballet Theater in Almaty, Kazakhstan. His classical ballet repertoire included Nurali (Bakhchisay Fountain), Mej (Sylphide), Jester (Swan Lake), Pan (Walpurgis Night), Spartacus, La Bayadère, Raymonda, Giselle, and more.
Kairat Mazhikeev has become the best Nurali in Bakhchisarai Fountain since 1934, the year of the premiere.
Since 1984, Kairat Mazhikeev has been a teacher, choreographer, and director of many large projects.
From 1988-1990, he worked as an outstanding teacher and choreographer in Maputo, Mozambique.
Since 2003, Kairat Mazhikeyev has been a teacher, choreographer, and director of the Philadelphia Dance Conservatory in Pennsylvania.
Alan Omurzakov
Alan Omurzakov is one of the assistant managers at the Philadelphia Dance Conservatory. He usually works on music, makes any updates on our website, and teaches ballet classes.
Alan Omurzakov has been dancing ballet for ten years, instructed by Altynay Mazhikeyeva. He is a great asset to the company, working with many great dancers. His classical repertoire includes Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Carmen, La Vivandiere, Don Quixote, Polovetsian Dance, Zorba the Greek, and more. With his knowledge, not only did he receive many awards in various competitions, but he had the great opportunity to dance at Joffrey Ballet School in New York. He hopes to gain more ballet skills and knowledge, and share it with others!
