Competitions

Over the years, the Philadelphia Dance Conservatory has proudly participated in numerous regional, national, and international ballet competitions and festivals, including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), Universal Ballet Competition (UBC), California Dance Classics, Jewels Festival, and more. Through dedicated training and artistic guidance under Altynay Mazhikeyeva, students have earned recognition at prestigious ballet competitions, received scholarships, and gained opportunities to continue their development through renowned ballet programs and advanced training experiences. Every year, selected students represent the studio
in solo, duet, trio, and ensemble categories.

Led by Altynay Mazhikeyeva, our team is composed of experienced and passionate professionals who share a common goal: to foster a love for ballet and dance. With a commitment to excellence, our instructors guide and inspire students, helping them achieve their dance aspirations.

Altynay Mazhikeyeva

Altynay Mazhikeyeva is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Philadelphia Dance Conservatory, as well as an accomplished ballet artist, educator, choreographer, and mentor with almost 40 years of professional experience in classical ballet.

Kairat Mazhikeyev

Kairat Mazhikeyev is an internationally recognized ballet artist, teacher, choreographer, and stage producer with more than six decades of experience in classical ballet. He graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, where he studied under the distinguished ballet pedagogue L. T. Zhdanov, before beginning his professional career with the Abai State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty, Kazakhstan. From 1964 to 1984, he performed as a celebrated soloist with the company.

Alan Omurzakov

Alan Omurzakov is the Manager of the Philadelphia Dance Conservatory, where he oversees the studio’s digital presence, advertising, website management, music editing for competitions and annual productions, and assists with studio operations. He also serves as an instructor, teaching ballet classes and mentoring students.
